Creating the drag and drop exercise
To create drag and drop excercise:
1 In the Objects Panel select Exercises tab.
2 This will expand the panel. Choose the Drag and drop to make one test question.
3 It will create one Submit button.
4 ATTENTION! This button is only used to define answers. To create question you must use the text field (from Insert text field option).
5 Let’s start with defining conditions of dragging and droping. Go to the Properties tab located on the Bottom panel. In the Draggable answers field click on gray viewfinder and select objects you want to include to the exercise area. You can select multiple objects at once by holding left SHIFT key.
6 Now, when you have defined Draggable answers, you can choose which object is the container (to which object you need to drop something) and which one is good answers you will drop them into containers). Both, container and good answers, you will choose by clicking on the corresponding gray viewfinder.
ATTENTION! Remember that you can delete created dependency between objects at any time by choosing Trashcan icon.
7 When you defined conditions and objects of the exercise you can select Set questions. By choosing that option you can define important conditions. Let’s learn something about them.
If you will check Wrong objects returning to their place, after dropping objects into wrong containters and submitting that action with button, all wrong dropped objects will return into their basic space.
If you will check, Turn on default feedbacks, after dropping object into containers and submitting that action with button there will be displayed feedback for wrong and good match.
If you will check Disable object after good drop, after dropping object into good containter object will be deactivated and there will be no option to move it further.
8 You can also choose Options for all containers. Thanks to that you will define how they should behave after dropping them into containers (hide objects after drop, accept only good answers, force good answers and sequence, auto arrange answers).
You can also set what will happen after bad drop. You can decide to: do nothing with answers, revert only bad answers and revert all answers.
The last posibility is to define maximum number of answers and amount of good answers for success to pass the drag and drop exercise (when there are more possibilities to match than one).
9 Let’s look at the Scores tab right now. Remember to change the Number of attempts to at least one, because if you don’t user will be able to perform exercise any number of times.
10 You can also define feedbacks. That option is in the Properties tab. You can enter the message that will be displayed after giving correct or invalid answer. You can check the effect of this action in the Preview mode.
11 You can also use premade styles to modify Submit button. They are located in Premade styles tab located on the Bottom panel.
12 The next functionality is configuration of the test scores. To do that, go to the Scores tab. When determining the test scores, you can decide the number of points that are required to pass. You can also determine if your test requires passing and how many points you can gain or loose by taking it. The Attempts field detemines, how many times you can try to pass the test - zero value means that there is no limit on the number of approaches.
13 And that’s all! Congratulations! You have mastered creating the drag and drop excercises!
