Using triggers
You can add triggers to whole pages of your project or to specific objects. The rules of that action are the same in both instantes, so we will only focus on using triggers for specific objects.
After choosing object and selecting No action, click to add new, a Trigger panel will open with Action list on the left side of it. After clicking on When execute the action? you will see the list of possibilites. For that example we will select Click option.
Now, we will answer for What to do? question, so we must define what will happen after clicking on our object. For example we will take option Show objects.
Right now, by using grey viewfinder we will add to our trigger object or objects which will be shown after clicking on our object.
ATTENTION! Bear in mind that after adding objects into the trigger you must go to Timeline tab and Hide chosen objects. You can also do it, by clicking left mouse button directly on the object you want to hide. If you don’t hide the objects, they will be shown on the screen from the beggining.
Next, we can choose an entry animation for chosen object or objects.
And select, how long after clicking on our objects hidden object will be revealed.
You are not limited only to one trigger for one object. Thanks to the +Add interaction button you can add another triggers to the same object.
By using Darkan you can also define Conditions and Variables but this is too much complicated to learn right now. We will explain, how to do it in our video tutorials.
At the end we will look at the Actions list. It allows to adding new interactions to pages or objects. Thanks to Duplicate trigger button you can also copy whole trigger instruction and set it as a new one.
And that’s all. You know the basics of using triggers. To learn more, watch our video turorials for that topic.
